Mini Rex is a domestic rabbit breed developed in Florida by the late Monna Berryhill of Texas in 1984.

The Rex mutation is recessive and causes the hair to grow outwards from the body instead of resting flat, and the guard hairs to be shortened to the length of the undercoat.

It was discovered in France in the 19th century. This means you can feel their silky undercoat, which is very soft.

They are little (weighing between 1,58–2,04 kg when fully grown) and quite friendly, as their name implies. There's no need to doubt why they're one of America's most popular rabbit breeds.
